Who are they ?

"The term Generation Y refers to people born between the late 1970s and the mid 1990s. It takes its name from the previous generation, called Generation X." Other names are children of the millennium or GenY and Yers. Americans also use the term digital natives or net generation because these children have grown up in a world where the personal computer and the Internet have become increasingly accessible.

So Yes, Gen Y, it's us. You,me, the 22 years old guy, I am pretty sure most people who are reading this article are GenY..

 This term appeared for the first time in 1993 in the magazine Advertising Age, refers to a Behavioral aspect from a managerial point of view,Companies are beginning to change the way they operate today to adapt to this new population, independent and connected.

They grew up without World War, but with the threat of unemployment and the recession, 
Less loyal than Generation X, they do not think that they will spend their lives in the same company. They ask more questions, they argue, challenge management techniques, the orders. They need to understand why, all the time. And when the company no longer meets their expectations, they leave for an other one.

Some facts

63% stay less than 2 years with an employer.
72% prefer to go abroad .
81% expect to be promoted within two years.
60% belong to at least one social network.

So how to sell him a product?

           Stop doing marketing
Means, stop doing marketing in the old way. The GenY do not want to hear the company promote the brand. He wants to discover it in a fun way like through mobile content, A nice Entertainment to give the impression that nobody is trying to sell something.

According to Mattias Behrer author of ‘How Cool Brands Stays Hot’, the top 15 of their favorite brands confirms that GenY "are drawn to brands speak to  them That in a straightforward and stripped-down way, use plain packaging, and Avoid excess."
Not surprisingly, there's: JetBlue, Apple, Trader Joe's, Ben & Jerry's, Target, Levi's, Converse, VW ... Nothing but great 'good oldies'.

A Company who took the opportunity..

this is a funny and engaging campaign for the GenY made ​​by Internet Explorer for the launch of their new Explorer 9 browser. This campaign is aimed at those who grew up in the 90s and then with Explorer. The engine here reaffirms his status as a pioneer, and his special relationship with the generation that experienced a before and an after, almost as long as the other one.

Now more and more young people buy their Spring Festival gifts on the way


Recent days, Chinese people is busying to visit the Spring Festival that many young people back to home and bring gift to their parents. It is no longer a traditional gift like Roast Duck, Beijing eight dessert, but it has more and more practical household goods.Many people are no longer to bring large bags of gifts in their war of return home, but through online-shopping make the gifts early sent to their home.

Their is a report that investigate 50 Beijing person, and some of them have come to Beijing more than 20 years, and some come to Beijing only in 2012. Parents thinking: gifts are not important, but hope their children return to their home.


Mr. Ma has 60 years old, and he live in Hubei Yichang, but is daughter working in Beijing. He said:' My daughter return home to us with the Beijing cooked or Beijing eight dessert. Our house is in the countryside, our relatives and friends can eat the Beijing's specialty, and I am particularly pleased. She is not near our side, this gift that she did not forget to us. Of course, from my heart, we do not want her back with some gift. Firstly, she return with gifts by train will take some trouble with her. Secondly, some gifts is little expensive and we wish she can use this money to increase her life . Furthermore, we only hope that she was able to come back to a family reunion.

Young people in Yemen live in an abyss of misery, and their free time is dominated by
the drug khat and shooting practice with Kalashnikovs (a kind of guns). Youth in Yemen has lost their all motivation, they just vegetate along. 


Look at these people in Yemen, how dangerous they are!
Besides, as a result of Arabian culture, there is no communication between young girls and boys. This is forbidden.

 What young people wear today and before???

Arabian Clothing and Fashion

The majority of Arab women dress conservatively. In the Arabic countries you will find a variety of traditions. Many women dress in clothes that do not cover their faces or hair, while others cover them and it all depend on the country they reside, their personal choice, or social level.
A very conservative woman might wear a long black garment called "Abayah" that covers the body from the shoulders down to feet. Under this cover she could be wearing a traditional Arabian dress, "thawb", or she could be wearing the latest style designer clothes. In addition to the Abayah, a very conservative woman would wear a face and head cover. Some women would wear the Abayah without the head and face cover, while others might wear a scarf-like cover called "Hejab" to cover the hair only and not the face.

As well, many women wear the latest style clothes without an Abayah or Hejab depending on the country they reside in. In some countries, like Saudi Arabia, you never find women in the streets without the Abayah whereas in other countries such as Jordan, Iraq, Syria, Lebanon and Egypt you find a mixture of women either wearing the Hejab, Abayah, or casual jeans, shirts, long and short skirts.

The same goes for men and depending on the country they reside in or whether they live in a rural or urban area you will find men wearing the western style clothes or they might wear the traditional “Dishdasha”, “Thawb” and “Kaffiyeh” with “Igal”


 
Traditional Korean Clothing

The Korean hanbok represents one of the most visable aspects of Korean culture.
hanbok The top part called a jeogori is blouse-like with long sleeves with the men's version being longer, stretching down to the waist. Women wear skirts (chima) while men wear baggy pants (paji). Commoners wore white, except during festivals and special occassions such as weddings. Clothes for the upper classes were made of bright colors and indicated the wearer's social status. Various accessories such as foot gear, jewelry, and headdresses or hair pins completed the outfit.

Traditional Chinese Clothing

Chinese people were wearing silk while other cultures were still dressing in animal skins.

Clothing in China did not only evolve over time; it often transformed dramatically following Dynastic changes or the Imperial decree of a new ruler. In ancient feudal society, people's rank and position could easily be distinguished from their daily dress, especially for the ordinary people and upper-class.

Among the upper dominating class, only to the Emperor was assigned the colour yellow and the dragon emblem on traditional Chinese imperial dress as an exclusive affirmation of their power.

There is no "typical" Chinese costume, although today, if any one style of clothing epitomises "Chineseness", it would be the Cheongsam, or Qipao, which evolved from ancient clothing of the Manchu ethnic minority. Popular because it fits the Chinese female figure well, has simple lines and looks elegant; it is suitable for wearing in all seasons by young or old and can either be long or short. It is recognised around the world and has inspired many foreign adaptations because of its simple yet exotic lines. It is popularly worn in northern China as the wedding dress, traditionally Red, embroidered with elaborate gold and silver designs. Brides in southern China wear Qipao or a two-piece dress name Qungua or Kwa, which is also elaborately adorned with a gold dragon and phoenix pattern.Hope you can come china and have your china holidays with top china travel.

Footballers - role models for the young

With all the international football friendlies happening this evening it seems appropriate to talk about the example these men who are constantly in the public eye set for the Worlds youth. Almost every young male in the UK wants to be a professional footballer, they will even change the way they act and dress to emulate their sporting heroes. This leads to the question as to whether these footballers set a positive example for young people to follow or should we actively encourage our children to look in other places for a hero to follow.

David Beckham's recent move to PSG has been in the headlines for all the right reasons after he announced all of his wages would be donated to a French Children's Charity. This would surely suggest that Beckham is one of those individuals who's example we should strive to emulate as a recent pole showed how important we in the UK perceive doing the right thing. Giving to charity was number 10

However as always there is another side to the argument, we just need to look at the some of the awful actions committed by these so called "stars" to see how terrible an example they can set. Only the other day a Newcastle player was taken to hospital after a fight during a night out. Whilst I am aware that there are lots of fights all over the world, the fact that these footballers are constantly in the public eye and are often idolised by many children and young people then surely they should be expected to moderate their behaviour because of the bad example it sets for these young people to copy. Obviously these role models are only part of the puzzle when it comes to how a person behaves, but they are still an influence.

So now over to you, do you believe that these footballers should be deified like they are in the press as a positive example for how to behave or should they be weeded out of the public view so that they do not encourage anti social behaviour? Are sports stars in other countries actively striving to set a positive example to children?
